Wonderful news - found out yesterday 2/22/11 that my grandfather, John Dettori lived at 120 W State Street according to the 1920 census. He was a "lodger" and lived with the Bernstein family who were Russian. He was a barber by trade. I remember gettimg my Pixie haircuts when I was a child.

We recently furnished a twin home at 509 D Street in Kennett Square that I lived in as a child. It is one of 10 twin homes that my Grandfather, John M Dettori had built along with a ranch house that he and my Grandmother lived in on D Street. I have so many cherished childhood memories here - visiting my Grandparents on a whim any day or night, learning to ride my first two wheel bicycle, making snow angels, playing kick the can every summer, dancing to Chubby Checker's Twist on the front porch, staying overnight at my Grandparent's house every Friday night while my parents went bowling and best of all was making spaghetti sauce and homemade spaghetti every Sunday for the entire family to enjoy. Those were some of my good old days!
